Some people like to say, “Books are making a comeback.” Indie bookstores and book clubs are flourishing worldwide. As a result, new literary communities are emerging and building.
And yet the publishing industry still isn't a dynamic landscape – reflective of our society's diversity and inclusivity.
That’s where the NONAC comes in.
The NONAC is a monthly-ish digital newsletter focused on promoting and connecting emerging creatives from various indie publications, zines, and collaborative collectives outside the mainstream. We are devoted to supporting and boosting the written and created publications of POCs, immigrants, LGBTQA+ and non-binary writers, illustrators, and graphic designers.
Redefining the Literary Canon For Ourselves…
We hope to subvert those parts of the literary canon that sought to bury our work. We aim to create our own canon, well-rounded, and full – of your stories, critiques, theories, art, and design. That is the NONAC.
